This is the Gaomon that appears as the rival to Matt's Gabumon and later Gabumon X. He unlike the evil Agumon does not think that he is superior to Gabumon he thinks Gabumon should be commended for the strength he already has and is shocked to see that Gabumon actually accepted the new power. So basically he respects Gabumon rather then the evil Agumon who looks down on his rival. He like the evil Agumon beats Gabumon in four battles: Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega.
